Glenn and Becky Brok announced Nov. 25 that Rowayton , a grade 1-placed son of leading sire Into Mischief , has been retired and will enter stud at their Diamond B Farm near Mohrsville, Pa., in 2021. The 4-year-old will enter stud for an introductory fee of $5,000.

Raced by Larry Best's OXO Equine, Rowayton won his first start in a maiden special at Del Mar and in his second start ran second to future champion Game Winner  in the Del Mar Futurity (G1). He followed up with a third in the American Pharoah Stakes (G1). At 3, Rowayton won an allowance race at Belmont Park in near-track record time and went on to finish third in the Dwyer Stakes (G3).

"Rowayton displayed his brilliant speed winning at Belmont Park where he was only two-fifths over the track record blazing 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:14.94 when he was trained by Don Chatlos," said Glenn Brok. "His sire is enjoying incredible success and being from the family of champion Proud Spell, we feel like he will be a very important addition to the stallion ranks in the Mid-Atlantic region."

Bred in Kentucky by Allen Poindexter, Rowayton is out of the Indian Charlie mare Rosemonde, who is a half sister to multiple Canadian champion Miss Mischief (Into Mischief) and multiple stakes-placed winner Mind Out (Tapit ).

The Broks said an incentive plan for breeders to earn a lifetime breeding right will be announced soon.
