Ocala Stud's Noble Bird was represented by his first winner June 18 when Shooting Star Thoroughbreds' Noble Dreamer drew off to a 7 1/4-length victory in a $60,000 maiden special weight at Gulfstream Park.

The 2-year-old filly was making her second start for trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. and was favored in a field of six peers going five furlongs after finishing second at first asking May 28 at Gulfstream.

With Edgard Zayas in the irons, Noble Dreamer made an alert start and dashed to the front to set fractions of :22.62 and :46 flat. She went well clear turning for home and continued to widen under a drive, finishing in :58.98. Uncaptured Grace was second, one length in front of Luli's Dancer.

Bred in Florida by Jesus Rodriguez out of the Bluegrass Cat mare Dreaminofauntdiane, Noble Dreamer was an $8,500 purchase by ML Racing from the consignment of Stuart Morris to the 2020 Ocala Breeders' Sales October Yearlings, 2-Year-Olds, and Horses of Racing Age Sale. She went through the ring for $30,000 at the OBS Winter Mixed Sale in 2020, where she was purchased by Lisa Goodin from Chasin A Dream.

Noble Bird won more than $1.3 million and took the 2015 Stephen Foster Handicap (G1) in a 23-race career for John Oxley and Mark Casse before retiring in 2018. He stood the 2021 season for an advertised fee of $4,000.
