Sophomore stallions Majestic Harbor and Harry's Holiday  sired their black-type winners June 23 in separate divisions of the Hoosier Breeders Sophomore Stakes at Indiana Grand.

Majestic Harbor's daughter Pearl Tiara took the $77,200 fillies' division for registered Indiana-breds. Tim Glyshaw trains the filly for Loren Hebel-Osborne, Carol Hebel, Claudia Pirman, Fred Pirman, David Osborne, and Dan Ison.

With Fernando De La Cruz up, Pearl Tiara pressed the pace and took over a half-mile in before continuing to draw away for an 8 3/4-length victory. She completed 1 1/16 miles on the fast main track in 1:45.60.

Pearl Tiara was bred by the Osbornes and Hebel out of the Mineshaft  mare Pearl Pendant. Also winner of a June 7 allowance at Indiana Grand, she holds a 3-2-1 record from nine starts and has earned $120,314.

Majestic Harbor is a 13-year-old son of Rockport Harbor who won the 2014 Gold Cup at Santa Anita (G1). He also collected wins in the Alysheba Stakes (G2), Mineshaft Handicap (G3), and Tokyo City Cup Stakes (G3) while racing from ages 2-8. Paul McGee and Sean McCarthy both trained Majestic Harbor for Gallant Stable throughout his career. He earned $1,295,814 from a 10-8-7 record in 42 starts.

Bred in Kentucky by Liberation Farm and Brandywine Farm, Majestic Harbor is out of the stakes-placed French Deputy mare Champagne Royale, also dam of Arkansas Derby (G1) winner and sire Danza.

Majestic Harbor stood his first two seasons at Swifty Farms in Indiana before moving to Harris Farms in California. His 2021 fee was advertised as $2,500.

Joselyn Vanesa Salazar's Hard Luck Justice won the $77,150 division of registered Indiana-bred colts and geldings later on the card to give Harry's Holiday his first black-type winner.

Samuel Bermudez rode the gelding for trainer Lonnie Hinds and settled his mount in fifth early. Hard Luck Justice began to rally past the three-eighths pole and opened up to win by 6 1/4 lengths. The final time for the 1 1/16 miles on the fast main track was 1:46.24.

Hard Luck Justice was bred by Greg Justice of Justice Farm out of the Cactus Ridge mare Grace of Gold. He has two wins and a second from six starts with earnings of $77,555.

Harry's Holiday, a 10-year-old son of Harlan's Holiday, was campaigned for most of his career by Skychai Racing, Sand Dollar Stable, Terry Raymond, and Jana Wagner and trained by Mike Maker. In 2014 he won the 96ROCK Stakes at Turfway Park and also placed in the track's Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati Spiral Stakes (G3) and John Battaglia Memorial Stakes. He made 13 starts from 2-4, earning $197,657 and a 3-3-1 record.

Bereton Jones and Ned Jones bred Harry's Holiday in Kentucky out of the Orientate mare Daisy Mason, a daughter of Leslie's Lady, the 2016 Broodmare of the Year. Leslie's Lady has produced grade 1 winner and two-time leading sire Into Mischief  (also a son of Harlan's Holiday), four-time Eclipse Award-winning mare Beholder, and grade 1 winner and sire Mendelssohn

Harry's Holiday stood his first season at Justice Farm in Kentucky before moving to Southern Indiana Equine. His 2021 fee was advertised at $3,000.
