My Thoughts (No. 5) breaks her maiden at Delaware Park

Hoofprints, Inc.

Harry Kassap's homebred My Thoughts made her debut a winning one Sept. 22 at Delaware Park, providing Anchor & Hope Farm's freshman stallion Editorial  with his first starter and first winner.

Racing six furlongs, My Thoughts was close to the pace under jockey Carol Cedeno, dueled three wide, and had the lead with a quarter-mile to run in the maiden claiming event. The juvenile filly opened up by two lengths in the stretch, then held off closing rivals to win by half a length. She completed the distance on a fast track in 1:12.83.

Tim Woolley trains My Thoughts, who earned $16,500 for the win. The filly was bred in Maryland out of the With Distinction mare Be My Love.

Editorial, a 7-year-old son of War Front , is a half brother to 2010 champion 2-year-old male and prominent sire Uncle Mo . Produced from the Arch mare Playa Maya, he is also a full brother to 2018 Tattersalls Irish One Thousand Guineas (G1) runner-up Could It Be Love. Editorial entered stud at Roland Farm in Warwick, Md., in 2018. After the North American 2019 season, he shuttled to Peru but was unable to return in 2020 due to travel complications from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Editorial returned stateside early this year and moved to Anchor & Hope Farm in Port Deposit, Md. He stood the 2021 season for an advertised fee of $2,500.
