Gunnevera Tops Pleasant Acres Roster at $6,000

Multiple grade 1-placed, multiple grade 2 winner Gunnevera tops the 2022 Pleasant Acres Stallions roster at $6,000. The only son of Florida Derby (G1) winner Dialed In standing at stud will have his first foals arrive next year. Gunnevera was competitive among the best of his generation, winning the Xpressbet Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2) before finishing third in the Xpressbet Florida Derby (G1) and second in the Travers Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets (G1) in 2017. At 4 he placed in the Pegasus World Cup Invitational (G1) and was runner-up in the Woodward Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets (G1) and the Breeders' Cup Classic (G1). He retired with $5,561,800 in earnings. New next year to Pleasant Acres, located near Ocala, Fla., are four-time graded stakes winner Leinster, who enters stud at $5,000; and, Bellavia, a son of Honor Code out of stakes winner Glacken's Gal, who is the granddam of Eclipse champion sprinter Mitole and grade 1 winner Hot Rod Charlie. Bellavia enters stud at $2,500. Leinster, a son of Majestic Warrior, won or placed 17 times out of 24 starts, getting a win in the 2020 Shakertown Stakes (G2T) and Woodford Stakes Presented by TVG (G2T), Gulfstream Park Turf Sprint (G3T) this year, and the 2019 Troy Stakes (G3T). He also placed in the 2020 Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (G1T) and earned $764,971 during his racing career. Leinster is a half brother to two-time Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint winner and multi-millionaire Stormy Liberal.
