Ocala Stud Holds Stud Fees Steady for 2022

Ocala Stud has set 2022 stud fees for its roster of 12 stallions for the upcoming breeding season, leaving all fees unchanged from 2021. Leading the roster at $6,000 is Girvin, a prominent 3-year-old of his crop who won the 2017 Haskell Invitational Stakes (G1) and registered back-to-back graded stakes wins in annexing the Risen Star Stakes (G2) and the Twinspires.com Louisiana Derby (G2). An earner of $1,624,392 on the racetrack and a winner from six to nine furlongs, Girvin, a son of Tale of Ekati, is represented by his first yearlings this year, which included a $200,000 colt that was the co-highest-price for first-crop yearling sires at Fasig-Tipton's The July Sale. Seeking the Soul is a grade 1-winning Charles Fipke homebred that captured the 2017 Clark Handicap presented by Norton Healthcare (G1) and also won the 2018 Ack Ack Stakes (G3) and 2019 Stephen Foster Stakes (G2). All told, he won or placed in nine graded stakes, including runner-up finishes in the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (G1) and Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes (G1), earning more than $3.4 million. A son of Canadian champion grass horse Perfect Soul (IRE) and out of grade 1-placed, grade 3 winner Seeking the Title, Seeking the Soul has his first foals arrive in 2022. Win Win Win captured the Forego Stakes Presented by America's Best Racing (G1) at Saratoga Race Course in 2020, defeating four grade 1 winners. He set a new track record at 3, winning the seven-furlong Pasco Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs in 1:20.89, running a 2 on the Ragozin Sheets. Bred by Live Oak, Win Win Win is by Halo line sire Hat Trick (JPN) out of Miss Smarty Pants, a half sister to graded stakes winner and multiple stakes producer Unbridled Humor. Win Win Win stands for a partnership of Live Oak Stud, Airdrie Stud, and Ocala Stud. The stallion's first foals arrive in 2022. Stud fees for Adios Charlie, Awesome Slew, Jess's Dream, Noble Bird, and The Big Beast remain at $4,000. Greenpointcrusader will stand for $3,500; Ami's Flatter and Dak Attack will both stand for $2,500; and Battalion Runner rounds out the roster, standing for $1,500.
