Eduardo Terrazas patiently sat inside the Keeneland sales pavilion Jan. 12, seeing out underbidders and ultimately having the last hand in the air to take home Siempre Mia for client St. George Stables at $390,000 at the January Horses of All Ages Sale.

The 9-year-old Scat Daddy gray mare is carrying an American Pharoah  foal and is due in March. Eaton Sales consigned her as Hip 752.

"I bought her for St. George Stables, who owns the $2.2 million earner Letruska. They keep their mares with me and we have been able to secure four at the sale so far," Terrazas said of the daughter of multiple grade 3 winner Shaconage (El Prado).

Siempre Mia has produced Consumer Spending (More Than Ready), who won the Selima Stakes on the Laurel Park turf in October. She has an Empire Maker 2-year-old colt named Baba Voss who sold to X-Men Racing, with Donato Lanni agent, for $120,000 when consigned by Eaton Sales at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale. Her yearling filly by More Than Ready was sold for $240,000 to Cavalier Bloodstock at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale and also consigned by Eaton.

"She is a beautiful, strong mare. In a way, she kind of looks like a bully, which I love," Terrazas commented. "I remember her yearling last year (at the Keeneland September sale). You can't go wrong with that.

"I thought she would be around $325,000, but luckily we were able to keep going. She definitely will fit the program."

Earlier in the day, St. George added I'm So Anna for $200,000. The 4-year-old Fast Anna daughter is a multiple stakes winner of $309,740. Her third dam Tizso is a sister Horse of the Year Tiznow and produced grade 1 winner and sire Paynter. Gainesway consigned I'm So Anna as Hip 589 and offered her as a broodmare prospect.

The next purchase for St. George was Ojai, who sold in foal to Union Rags  for $37,000. The 6-year-old Verrazano mare was consigned as Hip 685 by Lane's End, agent. In foal on an early April cover, she has a Union Rags yearling filly on the ground. The dark bay mare, out of the Robyn Dancer mare Waltzing With Deb, is a half sister to stakes winner and grade 3-placed Hashtag Bourbon

On the first day of the Keeneland January sale, St. George signed for Santa Rita, a 4-year-old broodmare prospect consigned as Hip 318 by Taylor Made Sales Agency for $155,000. The Curlin  filly is out of Anabaa's Creation (Anabaa), who was group/grade 1-placed and a stakes winner in France. She is the dam of stakes winner Create a Dream (Oasis Dream). Santa Rita was consigned on behalf W. Heiligbrodt, Madaket Stables, and Spendthrift Farm.

St. George's four purchases over the first two sessions bring their gross sales to $782,000.
