Strong results on the racetrack and in sales ring have elevated Quality Road 's stud fee to $200,000 for the 2023 breeding season, Lane's End announced Oct. 28 along with the release of its full roster and fees for next year.
Quality Road, a 16-year-old son of Elusive Quality, returns to the fee level he reached in 2020, the year after he was the leading North American sire by number of grade 1 winners. At sales, he is the second-leading yearling sire (among those with three or more sold) with a $516,667 average and has been represented by eight that sold for more than $1 million.
Quality Road has sired 61 career black-type winners, of which 32 have won graded or group stakes. His elite runners include Eclipse champions Abel Tasman, Caledonia Road, and Corniche .
Lane's End announced Sept. 12 that undefeated anticipated Longines Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) morning-line favorite Flightline will stand at the farm at the conclusion of his racing career. Whether the son of Tapit is retired this year or races at 5 will be decided after the Breeders' Cup World Championships.
