RTN Will Live Stream Global Symposium on Racing

Roberts Communications will give all proceeds to the Race Track Industry Program.

The University of Arizona's Race Track Industry Program Global Symposium on Racing, scheduled for Dec. 5-7, will be streamed live online, so that those unable to attend the conference in person will still be able to watch the panel sessions.

Roberts Communications Network will make the stream available on its Racetrack Television Network, with all proceeds from the sales going back to the RTIP.

"Year after year, the Global Symposium on Racing brings together the international racing community to discuss topics of great importance, and we are very excited to deliver it throughout the world," said RCN and RTN president and CEO Todd Roberts. "All of the money generated by the sales will go back to the RTIP program to help support everything they do for the industry."

The agenda for this year's symposium includes panels on wide-ranging topics, including an update from the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority and Horseracing Integrity & Welfare Unit, how to capitalize on racing's global footprint, advancing equine safety through technology, integrating horse racing into the U.S. sports betting market, strategies for diversity and inclusion, and much more.

"We are thrilled to once again stream the Symposium to a global audience," said RTIP chair Robert Hartman. "While we are expecting a large group of industry attendees, we also understand that travel may not be possible for some, and feel it is important to make these panel sessions available to everyone. We are very appreciative of RCN's help in this endeavor and especially their generosity in donating all of the proceeds back to the program."

The live streaming package, which also includes archived sessions of each panel, will be available for a $149 purchase on the RTN.tv website, enabling people to watch on tablets, smartphones, and PC's, and on televisions through Roku devices and Amazon Fire TV.
