The 86th season of live horse racing at historic Delaware Park opens this Wednesday, May 24th, with a first race post time of 12:30 p.m. ET. The opening week festivities will continue with live racing cards slated for Thursday, May 25th and Saturday, May 27th.
Live racing will be conducted on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday with the exception of the following days—May 26th, July 28th, August 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th and October 27th. The Grade III Delaware Oaks is scheduled for Saturday, July 1st, the Grade II Delaware Handicap will be run on Saturday, July 8th and the twin 3-year-old route features of the Kent Stakes for the boys and the Christiana for the girls will be contested on Saturday, July 15th. The 31st Owners Day will be on Saturday, September 9th. The 85-day meet is scheduled to conclude on Saturday, October 28th.
A pair of National Handicap Contest qualifying handicap contests will be offered to horse players on July 15th and September 9th. For more information, visit www.delawarepark.com.
