Into Mischief Colt Drops the Hammer at $1.7M

Hip 162 became four-time leading stallion Into Mischief's fifth offspring to break the million-dollar mark Sept. 11 during the first session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale when Jersey City Destroyers Stable signed the ticket for $1.7 million. The colt, consigned by Gainesway, was bred by Mandy Pope's Whisper Hill Farm. He is a half brother to Pope's Tapit colt Charge It, an impressive winner of this year's Suburban Stakes (G2) at Belmont Park. His dam I'll Take Charge hails from the immediate family of grade 1 winners Take Charge Lady, Will Take Charge, Take Charge Indy, Omaha Beach, and Take Charge Brandi.
