Top Sires Part of TCA's Jan. 7 Stallion Season Auction
Thoroughbred Charities of America's annual Stallion Season Auction presented by Mt. Brilliant Family Foundation, concludes on Sunday, January 7 with the Live Auction and Celebration to be held at Harper Hall in Lexington, Ky. The auction will feature seasons to Constitution, Flightline, Good Magic, Elite Power (with 2025 breed back), Taiba, Life is Good, Forte, Cody's Wish (with 2025 breed back), Nyquist (with 2025 breed back), and Quality Road. Tickets can be purchased here. Bidders or their authorized agents may bid on select seasons by attending the event in-person or they may email ehalliwell@tca.org to register to bid online or by phone. The online portion of the Stallion Season Auction ended at 4 p.m. on Friday. The Cody's Wish season is donated by Godolphin to honor the memory of Cody Dorman. Dorman, was a 17-year-old Kentuckian with a rare genetic disorder who formed a special connection to his namesake, Cody's Wish. The majority of the proceeds from the season will support the local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation with the remaining proceeds honoring his memory in other ways, in conjunction with the wishes of his family. The Dorman Family and representatives from Make-A-Wish will be in attendance at the Live Auction and Celebration. In addition to stallion seasons, non-season items including a John Deere ZTrak mower, a meet and greet with Cody's Wish, a condo in St. Thomas, and a week-long stay at a Mexican villa will also be offered. Equine artist Robert Clark will "live paint" a custom piece that will be exclusively available at the Live Auction. Greg Goodman will be honored with the Allaire du Pont Leadership Award and Central Kentucky Riding for Hope will be honored with the Ellen and Herb Moelis Industry Service Award. Additionally, an online silent auction of non-season items including halters worn by Justify, Gun Runner, and Into Mischief, a Florida Derby package, artwork, unique experiences, and more will be offered.
