Wolfe Racing and Hugh Robertson's Two Emmys, winner of the 2021 Mr. D. Stakes (G1T), was euthanized the morning of Jan. 7 following a morning workout at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots.

Trainer Hugh Robertson told the Daily Racing Form that the 8-year-old had fractured the radius above his knee when another horse had sideswiped him at the quarter pole. Two Emmys' regular jockey James Graham had been aboard for the workout, the gelding's first since his victory in the Buddy Diliberto Memorial Stakes Dec. 23.

Graham had taken off his mounts for Sunday's card.

Two Emmys, a $4,500 purchase at the Keeneland September Sale as a yearling for Robertson and Wolfe, went on to post earnings of nearly $1 million in a 25-start career. The son of English Channel had raced from the age of 2 and captured eight races, including five stakes. His finest triumph, however, was his defeat of top turf horse Domestic Spending, a three-time grade 1 winner, in the Mr. D. Stakes. Formerly known as the Arlington Million, the 2021 Mr. D Stakes was the last edition of the race run at historic Arlington International Race Course before the track closed its doors for good.

In addition to the Mr. D Stakes, Two Emmys showed an affinity for the Fair Grounds turf, landing the 2022 Muniz Memorial Classic Stakes (G2T) and the 2023 Fair Grounds Stakes (G3T) at the New Orleans oval.
