The Oregon Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association announced the following incentive programs for 2024:
$1,500 FOAL INCENTIVE
Paid to the Breeder of Oregon-bred Thoroughbred foals born in 2024 & 2025.
Submit a copy of the Jockey Club Certificate to the OTOBA for payment.
STARTING BONUSES
$250 will be paid to the Owner of Oregon-bred Thoroughbreds for the first start at EACH summer fair meet!
$500 will be paid to the Owner of Oregon-bred Thoroughbreds for the first start at the Grants Pass Commercial Meet!
HI POINT CHALLENGE
Oregon-bred Thoroughbreds earn points for starting at the summer fair meets and placing 1st --5th in any Thoroughbred race. The Owners of the top 5 horses in Colts/Geldings and Fillies/Mares categories win cash prizes!
PURSE SUPPLEMENTS
OTOBA will add $1,000 to each Oregon-bred Thoroughbred overnight race at the summer meets and the commercial meet.
$2,000 will be added to each Oregon-bred stakes race at the summer meets.
$ (TBD) will be added to Oregon-bred stakes races at the commercial meet.
BREEDER'S AWARDS
20% of Oregon-bred Thoroughbred earnings for 1st-5th place finishes during the summer meets and the commercial meet will be paid to the Breeder!
OWNER'S BONUS
10% of Oregon-bred Thoroughbred earnings for 1st-5th place finishes during the summer meets will be paid to the Owner!
$ (TBD) will be paid to Owners of Oregon-bred Thoroughbreds who place 1st-5th in Thoroughbred races at the commercial meet.
Awards, Incentives, and Bonuses for Thoroughbred races only, summer meets only in Oregon, and the 2024 commercial meet in Grants Pass.
Non-member fees will be withheld from payments.
