Jeff and Stacy Jeans' Lone Star Stallions is adding a son of the late Arrogate to its Texas roster for 2025, the farm announced Sept. 16. Arrogates Hercules will enter stud at Equine Partners Veterinary Services in Waller, Texas, which also stands grade 1 winner Poseidon's Warrior .
The 4-year-old colt never raced due to financial conflicts among his owners, according to Lone Star, but the colt is reportedly sound and stands an impressive 17 hands. Bred in Kentucky by James Iselin, Eli Gindi, and David Asoulin, Arrogates Hercules is out of grade 2-placed stakes winner Willet (Jump Start), who has produced a winner in Who's the King (Not This Time ). Willet is the best runner produced by her dam, Katina K, a winning daughter of grade 3 winner Distinctive Pro and of grade 3 winner and multiple stakes producer Darlin Momma (Night Invader).
Arrogate, who was 7 when he died in 2020, became the richest North America-based racehorse in 2017 when he retired with $17,422,600 and four grade 1 wins. From three crops of racing age, the son of Unbridled's Song has sired 11 black-type stakes winners, including 14 graded/group winners. Among his best performers are Belmont Stakes (G1) winner and 2023 champion 3-year-old Arcangelo and 2022 Kentucky Oaks (G1) winner Secret Oath.
Arrogates Hercules will stand for $1,500. Owners are encouraged to submit their mares to Jeans at jjeans@lonestarstallions.com and will receive mating reports to help determine whether the stallion is a good match.
