Taylor Made Stallions announced Oct. 30 that Knicks Go , the 2021 Horse of the Year and champion older dirt male, will stand the 2025 breeding season for $12,500 with a stands and nurses guarantee.
A two-time track record-setter and a grade 1 winner at 2, 4, and 5, Knicks Go was a wire-to-wire winner of the 2021 Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) at Del Mar—just two fifths of a second off the track record set in 2003 by Candy Ride . Longines Best Racehorse of 2021, Knicks Go is also the fastest miler in Keeneland history, winning the 2020 Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (G1) in the track-record time of 1:33.85. The 8-year-old son of Paynter won seven graded stakes events, including the Breeders' Futurity (G1) at 2, as well as the Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes (G1) and Whitney Stakes (G1) in 2021.
Knicks Go banked career earnings of more than $9.2 million.
The first yearlings by Knicks Go proved popular at auctions this year with nine selling for $100,000 or more. His top seller was a $425,000 colt bought by China Horse Club, Maverick Racing, and Siena Farm out of Woods Edge Farm's consignment at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale. Penn Sales sold the stallion's highest-priced filly during the Keeneland September sale when Horseology on behalf of MyRacehorse went to $200,000 for a filly out of the Pioneerof the Nile daughter Seeking a Star.
