Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY, once again kicks off a full slate of Kentucky Derby week programming on Tuesday morning live from Churchill Downs with the first of three 'Derby Countdown' Shows presented by Hill 'n' Dale at Xalapa.
Each morning, from 8:00-10:00 a.m. EST, hosts Bobbby Neuman and Jude Feld broadcast live from the Churchill Downs barn area, visiting with owners, trainers, jockeys, and handicappers, while providing the latest updates on Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby horses preparing to compete in racing's spring classics. The Derby Countdown shows can be heard Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
mornings on Sirius 161/XM 206 with live streaming and podcast archives made available each day on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net, and all podcast platforms.
Among the guests scheduled to appear on this week's Countdown shows are last year's Kentucky Derby winning jockey Brian Hernandez Jr., owner Terry Finley of West Point Thoroughbreds, and trainers Bob Baffert, Brad Cox, Michael McCarthy, Whit Beckman and Lonnie Briley.
Friday afternoon's edition of 'Trainer Talk presented by Fasig-Tipton' which airs from 5-6 p.m. EST, features conversations with Derby winning trainers Neil Drysdale and Doug O'Neill. Kentucky Derby day programming is highlighted by a special Derby morning edition of HRRN's popular Saturday morning talk show, the Equine Forum presented by TwinSpires. Hosted by Mike Penna, the show airs in its customary weekly time slot from 8:00-11:00 a.m. ET on Sirius 162/XM 207 and is also available via podcast after the live airing.
