Multiple graded stakes winner Beach Bomb (SAF) ships to Aqueduct Racetrack for the $175,000 Sheepshead Bay Stakes (G3T) May 2. The 5-year-old mare is after her third consecutive graded stakes victory this season, owning a 2-1-1 record in five starts since coming to the United States last summer. The 1 3/8-mile race features a field of five fillies and mares aged 4 and up. The Christophe Clement trainee finished third in this race last year behind Royalty Interest (FR). Kendrick Carmouche will ride. Clemente also sends out Bellezza (IRE) who makes her first start stateside for owner Moyglare Stud Farm. Shug McGaughey sends out the Stuart Janney III-owned Silvology, runner-up to Beach Bomb in the Orchid, and Barry Schwartz's Whatlovelookslike rounds out the field.
