Tattersalls Online Sale Includes Prendergast Dispersal

Fourteen wildcards have been added to the Tattersalls Online July Sale taking place July 1-2, which includes a complete dispersal of 10 lots from the estate of the late Kevin Prendergast following the recent death of the legendary Irish trainer. Among nine horses in training in the dispersal is the promising 3-year-old filly Glory To Be who ran an eye-catching debut fourth at the Curragh last month before finishing second in a maiden at Cork over five furlongs June 13. The daughter of Cotai Glory (GB) has a pedigree to match her evident talent being out of a half sister to the dam of group 1 winners Creative Force (IRE) and Persuasive (IRE). Another attractive prospect is winning 3-year-old gelding Iowntheball. A winner over seven furlongs at 2 and placed twice this year, the son of Advertise (GB) is a half brother to listed-placed Zim Baby and boasts a current Timeform rating of 85. A selection of unraced juveniles including Mergus Serrator, a colt by Masar (IRE) out of a War Front full sister to listed winner and group 1-placed Whitecliffsofdover. The other 2-year-olds include Lanrail, a half sister to listed winner and group 3-placed Uluru, as well as fillies by Awtaad (IRE), Coulsty (IRE), and Decorated Knight (GB). The dispersal is completed by the 3-year-old gelding Battling Siki who is out of a listed-placed daughter of 2002 Irish champion mare Rebelline, 4-year-old filly Irish Annie as well as broodmare Butterfly Garden, a winning daughter of Awtaad who is being offered in foal to 2021 Irish Two Thousand Guineas (G1) winner Mac Swiney (IRE). Meanwhile Ralph Beckett's Kimpton Down Stables have added two colts to their draft including Too Don Juan, a beautifully bred son of Too Darn Hot (GB) out of a daughter of dual champion and multiple group 1-winning mare Islington. He is joined by Invincible Duke, another well-bred colt who has been placed twice to date and is a half brother to group 3-placed Duchess of Dubai. Completing the wildcard additions to the sale is winning mare Bonny Power from Neil Mulholland's Conkwell Lodge Racing Stables and winning 6-year-old Flemensfirth mare Atomic Queen, a half sister to National Hunt grade 3-placed Get A Tonic, consigned by Peter Fahey's Roefield Stables.
