Make Haste hopes she lives up to her name in the $175,000 Coronation Cup Stakes (G3T) July 11 at Saratoga Race Course

The 5 1/2-furlong sprint is the third start for the Blue Point 3-year-old trained by Miguel Clement since moving to the United States.

The filly was purchased at the 2023 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 2 by Byron Rogers, Star Bloodstock, and trainer Diego Dias, and then raced for the partnership of Antony Beck's Gainesway Stable, LNJ Foxwoods, Chappell, and Eves Partnership.

After five starts in her native Great Britain (1-1-0 from five starts), Make Haste has since posted a pair of top-four finishes in the U.S. Racing for Gainesway and LNJ Foxwoods, she debuted in the U.S. with a fourth-place effort in the Melody of Colors Stakes at Gulfstream Park. Just a few weeks later, she was a 4 3/4-length victress in an allowance optional claimer at the South Florida track.

Trainer Jose D'Angelo brings a pair of challengers to the Spa for Friday's main event.

Cloe comes in after finishing second in the Soaring Softly Stakes and third in the Senorita Stakes (G3T) at Santa Anita Park. Florida-bred Spirited Boss, who was third in the Soaring Softly, looks for her third win of the year (3-1-1 from five starts).

Rounding out the field is Brittany Russell trainee Gata Brazil, a daughter of Into Mischief  who has won half of her four starts this year;  Abientot; Italian Soiree; and Laurice. If the race is moved to the main track, Flat Out Time, Twirling Beauty, and You'll Be Back will take their place in the starting gate.
