Twice classic-placed Tacitus got his first winner as a sire when his 2-year-old filly Tacit Value was victorious July 31 at Delaware Park.
Starting her fourth career race, Tacit Value was able to put it all together, taking control of the 5 1/2-furlong maiden claiming race after bumping with rivals and bobbling at the start, according to the Equibase race chart. The chestnut went head-to-head with Kuaga and overtook her rival with five-sixteenths to the wire.
Coming around the turn, Tacit Value grew her 4 1/2-length lead to 6 3/4 lengths by the time she crossed the wire in 1:05.32.
