A mandatory payout of the 20-cent Rainbow 6 jackpot pool yielded multiple $2,314.46 payoffs Sunday at Gulfstream Park.

The popular multi-race wager had gone unsolved for eight racing days following a July 13 mandatory payout, producing a jackpot carryover of $110,739. A total of $1,254,750 was wagered on the Rainbow 6 Sunday, pushing the total pool over $1,365,000.

A total of 481 tickets were sold with the winning combination of 1-6-4-5-2-6.

The Rainbow 6 carryover pool is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day's pool usually goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool. On mandatory-payout days, the entire Rainbow 6 jackpot pool is paid out to the bettor or bettors with the most winners in the wager's six-race sequence.

The Rainbow 6 starts anew on Friday with a sequence spanning Races 4-9, kicked off by a six-furlong maiden special weight for Florida-bred 2-year-old fillies. Saffie Joseph Jr.-trained Love Like Lucy, a daughter of Win Win Win, is slated to make her debut for MyRacehorse Thoroughbred Acquisition. Michael Yates-trained Sweet Dream Lady, a Stonehedge homebred by Cajun Breeze, is slated to make her debut off a series of solid workouts. Gary Jackson-trained Lady Chance, a daughter of Chance It who finished second in both of her career starts is the most prominent of the four fillies that have raced.
