Flightline Stays Atop Lane's End Roster at $125,000

Flightline continues to be the headliner on the Lane's End stallion roster with a 2026 fee set at $125,000. The 7-year-old son of Tapit and 2022 Horse of the Year has had his first crop of yearlings well received at auction, where they generated a North American average of $724,038 as of Oct. 14. His top sellers include 10 seven-figure purchases in the United States, topped by a $2.2 million filly during the Keeneland September Yearling Sale. New to Lane's End's lineup next year is multiple grade 1 winner Raging Torrent, a 4-year-old son of Maximus Mischief who won the 2024 Malibu Stakes (G1) and this year captured the Metropolitan Handicap (G1) after taking the Godolphin Mile (G2) at Meydan Racecourse. Raging Torrent got sidelined by a suspensory injury in July following his 2 1/2-length win over Fierceness in the Met Mile. Raging Torrent is out of Violent Wave, a winner by Violence and a half sister to graded stakes winner The Nth Degree (Distorted Humor). His inaugural fee will be $15,000. "2025 was an exceptional year for the Lane's End roster. With Liam's Map and Twirling Candy both siring three grade 1 winners, as well as Flightline's knockout first-crop yearling sales results, including a sale-topping filly and an average of $749,083," said Bill Farish with Lane's End. "With the addition of multiple grade 1 winner Raging Torrent, 2026 looks to be another exciting year." Liam's Map, a 14-year-old son of Unbridled's Song, has been represented this year by dual grade 1 winner Deterministic, winner of the Manhattan Stakes (G1T) and Fourstardave Stakes (G1T); Bluegrass Stakes (G1) winner Burnham Square; and Champagne Stakes (G1) winner Napoleon Solo. The stallion's fee has been raised to $50,000 for next year. Twirling Candy, an 18-year-old son of Candy Ride (ARG), has been represented this year by seven graded stakes winners, including Jaipur Stakes (G1T) winner Ag Bullet, Belmont Oaks Invitational Stakes (G1T) winner Fionn, and Test Stakes (G1) winner Kilwin. Twirling Candy ranks fourth on the general leading sires list with more than $13.8 million in year-to-date progeny earnings. His stud fee has been upped to $75,000. Quality Road, who is tracking among North America's top 15 sires, remains near the top of Lane's End roster with a 2026 fee of $100,000, which has been adjusted from $150,000 earlier this year. The 19-year-old son of Elusive Quality has sired five graded stakes winners so far this year, including Cotillion Stakes (G1) winner Clicquot and Ballerina Stakes (G1) winner Hope Road.
