Survie to Sell at Tattersalls December Mares Sale

Group 2 winner and Prix de Diane (G1) runner-up Survie (IRE) will sell in the Sceptre Sessions at the Tattersalls December Mares Sale, taking place Dec. 1-3. Offered by co-trainers Nicolas Clement and Frauke Hermans, the daughter of Churchill (IRE) was a narrow second to Sparkling Plenty (FR) in last year's Diane and then took the Prix de Malleret (G2) comfortably on her next start. This term, the 4-year-old started off with a second to subsequent Prix Vermeille (G1) heroine Aventure in the Prix Corrida (G2) and was then third to Whirl (IRE) and Kalpana (GB) in the Pretty Polly Stakes (G1) at the Curragh. The China Horse Club and Gerard Augustin-Normand-owned filly was also runner-up in the Prix Jean Romanet (G1) this summer. Survie is a daughter of the listed-winning Le Havre mare Sotteville and hails from the family of 2023 Champion Stakes (G1) winner and Epsom Derby (G1) runner-up King of Steel. Clement said: "We're consigning a jewel. She has been the star of the stable and was just beaten a head in a French classic. She's a top-of-the-ground filly who has been very consistent throughout her career, being group 1-placed on three occasions including in the Pretty Polly and Prix Jean Romanet. "She's one of the very best fillies in Europe and whether to breed or race, I'm sure she'll make somebody happy. We'll be sad to see her go."
