Game Winner Relocated to Brazil
Eclipse champion and multiple grade 1 victor Game Winner has been relocated to Haras Fazenda Mondesir in Brazil after standing there for his first Southern Hemisphere breeding season this year, reported Lane's End Oct. 31. Game Winner, who entered stud at Lane's End in 2021 alongside his sire Candy Ride (ARG), is a second-crop sire. He has been represented year to date by 40 career winners that include four black-type winners—Gaming, I Got Game, Game Warrior, and Maysam—that all won stakes this year. Gaming added this year's Affirmed Stakes at Santa Anita Park to his record that includes winning the 2024 Del Mar Futurity (G1) and finishing second in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1). Maysam won the Santa Ysabel Stakes (G3), Game Warrior won the Oceanside Stakes and ran third in this year's Del Mar Derby (G2T), and I Got Game captured this year's Ozark Stakes at Oaklawn Park. Game Winner was named Eclipse champion 2-year-old male for 2018 after an undefeated season that included victories in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile, Del Mar Futurity, and American Pharoah Stakes (G1). At 3, he won the Los Alamitos Derby (G3) and ran second in the Santa Anita Derby (G1) and Rebel Stakes (G2). Out of the A.P. Indy mare Indyan Giving, Game Winner is a half brother to grade 1 winner Flagstaff. Indyan Giving is out of Fleet Indian (Indian Charlie), who is a two-time grade 1 winner and 2006 champion older mare.
