Frank Shaw, 95, of Rumford, R.I., who worked in several pursuits in horse racing throughout his life, died Oct. 30.
Shaw moved from Baltimore at the age of 15, to Massachusetts to pursue a career as a jockey. He worked at various racetracks, mostly in the Northeast, including Narragansett Racetrack and Suffolk Downs, as a jockey, trainer, racing official, and owner.
