Global Campaign, Mor Spirit Exported to Korea

Grade 1-winning stallions Global Campaign and Mor Spirit are among the latest United States sires sold to ownership groups in South Korea. Second-crop sire Global Campaign was acquired by an owner in Seoul identified as Arion, while the Korea Thoroughbred Breeders' Association more recently acquired fourth-crop sire Mor Spirit, according to Korea Stud Book records. Other U.S. sires exported to Korea this year include Knicks Go, Spun to Run, Runhappy, and Pyrenees. Global Campaign is a 9-year-old son of Curlin who won the 2020 Woodward Handicap (G1) and two other graded stakes before entering stud in 2021 at WinStar Farm. As a stallion, he's been represented by 59 winners, which include five black-type winners led by 2025 Autumn Miss Stakes (G3T) winner Warming. His other stakes winners are Mrs. Worldwide, Lottie Margaret, Shilling, and Special Aviator. His son Universe has been graded-placed three times, getting a third in the 2025 Champagne Stakes (G1). Global Campaign ranks among the top 15 second-crop sires this year with more than $2.69 million in progeny earnings and three stakes winners. Out of the A.P. Indy winner Globe Trot, Global Campaign is a half brother to third-ranked fourth-crop sire Bolt d'Oro (Medaglia d'Oro) and multiple graded-placed stakes winner Sonic Mule (Distorted Humor). His immediate family also has produced grade 1 winner and sire Zensational. Mor Spirit, a 12-year-old son of Eskendereya, ranks 12th on the leading fourth-crop sire list with more than $4.16 million in progeny earnings. His top performer this year is his gelded son Chancheng Glory, who won the Centenary Vase Handicap (G3) at Sha Tin in Hong Kong. He also ran second in this year's Korea Cup (G3) and was third in the Hong Kong Gold Cup (G1). Mor Spirit has sired four other black-type winners, including 2023 Prince of Wales Stakes winner Velocitor, Mor Victory, Liberal Lady, and Mor Force. To date, Mor Spirit has sired 154 winners and his progeny have earned nearly $14.2 million. As a racehorse, Mor Spirit counted the 2015 Los Alamitos Futurity (G1) and 2017 Metropolitan Handicap (G1) among his five career stakes wins. He entered stud at Spendthrift Farm and then was relocated to Swifty Farms in Indiana for three seasons. Mor Spirit is out of the Dixie Union graded-placed stakes winner Im a Dixie Girl, who is out of multiple stakes winner Im Out First (Allen's Prospect). Im Out First is a half sister to stakes winner Zenith, who is the dam of grade 1 winner and sire Great Hunter and granddam of graded stakes winners Promise Keeper and Owendale. Im Out First and Zenith are half sisters as well to Evening Star, who is the dam of 2015 champion 3-year-old filly Stellar Wind.
