A brother to elite winner Funstar, a half brother to dual group 1 hero Streets Of Avalon, and foals out of top-tier winners Nettoyer, Snitzerland, and Hasahalo will be among the highlights of next year's Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.

Inglis has assembled a catalogue of 806 yearlings including 579 in Book One for the Melbourne auction, to be held from March 1-3—a similar size to this year's edition, which had 803 lots listed and 565 in Book One.

A total of 64 vendors will be selling stock by 110 individual stallions, including Extreme Choice with nine lots, I Am Invincible (seven), Zoustar (10), and Written Tycoon (16).

The sale—which has hatched the past three Everest (G1) winners sold at auction in Bella Nipotina, Think About It, and Nature Strip—also has strong representation from exciting next-wave sires such as Too Darn Hot (10 lots), Ghaiyyath (17), Ole Kirk (11), Harry Angel (11), and Super Seth (two).

First-season stallions on show will include Jacquinot (19 lots), Anamoe (11), Artorius (eight), Hitotsu (seven), Sejardan (nine), and Paulele (five).

Inglis Bloodstock CEO Sebastian Hutch says it's the finest selection he's seen for the sale in his time with the company.

"It's the best Premier catalog we've had while I've been at Inglis," Hutch told ANZ News. "We're really, really pleased with it.

"We are beneficiaries of the fact the sale went really well earlier this year in a testing sales environment. It was the first Australasian sale of the year that posted a gain year-on-year, and I think that's given people some more confidence around the sale.

"That's backed up by the support the sale has received this year.

"It's a sale that local Victorian support is hugely important to. That forms the cornerstone of the sale, but then the quality is supplemented by really good interstate representation this year.

"Coolmore have a big draft. Newgate are back for the second consecutive year. And then you have the likes of Arrowfield who are selling through Glen Lee Thoroughbreds, plus Milburn Creek and Newhaven.

"Widden are considered a Victorian farm for the purposes of this sale, but they have plenty of New South Wales-based yearlings going also. Segenhoe always sell at this sale and always sell well. They sold a Group 1 winner here in 2023 in Reserve Bank.

"There's some really good stuff in there so we're really pleased with how it's come together."

Among the highlights is Twin Hills Stud's Lot 369, a colt by Adelaide who's a full brother to Flight Stakes (G1) heroine Funstar, and a half to another group 1 winner in Youngstar.

A colt by Bivouac who's a half brother to dual elite victor Streets Of Avalon (AUS) is offered as Lot 142 from Supreme Thoroughbreds.

Lot 229 from Newgate Farm is one of two yearlings by Snitzel (AUS) at the sale, a colt second foal of dual group 1 winner Nettoyer.

And Lot 350 is a Vinery Stud filly by Zoustar out of Snitzerland, the six-time black type winner including the Lighting Stakes (G1), who's thrown two stakes victors from five foals to race.
