HRRN

Horse Racing Radio Network, the award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, announced March 30 it will pay homage to the achievements of 2023 Blue Grass Stakes (G1) winner Tapit Trice. The special week begins Monday, and will conclude April 4, with the 102nd renewal of the Blue Grass Stakes.

Throughout "Tapit Trice Week" presented by Keeneland Sales, HRRN will feature special content across its platform of weekly shows, as well as on the network's social media pages, website, and e-newsletters. Listeners will enjoy replays of the biggest wins in the career of Tapit Trice along with interviews and conversations looking back on his racing career.

All HRRN shows can be heard throughout North America on Sirius 162/XM 207 with live streaming and podcasts made available on the network's website, www.horseracingradio.net, and multiple podcast platforms following the live airing. A full schedule of HRRN shows and additional affiliate information can also be found on the network's site.

Consigned by Gainesway, the son of Tapit was purchased for $1.3 million by Mandy Pope's Whisper Hill Farm at the 2021 Keeneland September Yearling Sale. Campaigned by Whisper Hill Farm and Antony Beck's Gainesway Stable, Tapit Trice won six of 13 starts with earnings over $1.8 million. In addition to his victory in the Blue Grass Stakes, he captured the Tampa Bay Derby (G3), Monmouth Cup Stakes (G3), and Woodward Stakes (G2), with third-place efforts in both the Belmont (G1) and Travers (G1) stakes.

Trained by Hall of Fame conditioner Todd Pletcher, Tapit Trice retired to stud at Gainesway in 2025, standing for a fee of $10,000 live foal/stands and nurses.
