A top-drawer line-up of the finest breeding stock—as well as a share in Newgate Farm stalwart Extreme Choice— headline the catalog for the 10th edition of the Inglis Chairman's Sale, which is now available online.
A total of 104 lots have been cataloged for the sale, including 67 stakes horses or stakes producers, 27 pregnant mares on their first or second cover, 95 fillies/mares aged 10 or younger, and 24 mares that are free of Danehill (Danzig) blood.
There are a number of high-class fillies and mares included in the sale, such as 2024 Goodwood Handicap (G1) winner Benedetta, three-time group 1-scorer Provence, millionaire earners Arabian Summer and Generosity, and multiple stakes winners such as In Flight, Eternal Flame, Jennilala, Spicy Martini (by Justify ), and Just Feelin' Lucky (Justify).
Also included is Aeliana's half sister, Summer in Capri; Classique Legend's half sister, I Am Famous; as well as the dams of the Golden Slipper (G1) quinella in Guest House and Streisand, and the dam of group 1-winning juvenile Captured by Love.
Mares in foal to stallions such as Extreme Choice—whose yearlings averaged more than AU$1.5 million at this week's Easter Yearling Sale—I Am Invincible, Zoustar, Anamoe, Harry Angel, Home Affairs, Not This Time , Ole Kirk, Shinzo, Street Boss, Super Seth, The Autumn Sun, and Too Darn Hot will go through the ring.
The auction will be held at Riverside Stables on the evening of May 7 from 4 p.m. local time and will again be held with a "where elegance meets excellence" theme.
Inglis Bloodstock CEO Sebastian Hutch was "delighted" with the catalog.
"The Inglis Chairman's Sale is the most fun sale of the year, anywhere in the world, and it provides an unparalleled experience for both vendors and buyers,'' Hutch said.
"From what we understand is likely to be on the market in 2026, the Chairman's Sale will contain a higher proportion of quality breeding stock available to the Australasian market than ever before.
"This is the 10th year of the Chairman's Sale, and the style of the evening has created an unrivaled atmosphere deserving of an annual celebration of some of the most desirable race fillies and mares in the world each year.
"In the first year, amongst the 61 fillies and mares offered, acting on behalf of Torryburn Stud, Belmont Bloodstock purchased Miss Interiors for AU$625,000, and she would go on to become the dam of Coolmore Stud Stakes winner Home Affairs, now a Golden Slipper-winning sire with his first crop.
"The sale has been generating results of major significance, in terms of both the local and international bloodstock market, ever since.
"Golden Slipper-winning colts, Stay Inside and Shinzo, were sold in utero at the sale, while other mares offered at Chairman's include the dams of subsequent group 1 winners Autumn Glow, Imperatriz, Home Affairs, Apocalyptic, Caballus, She's Extreme, and international star In Italian, amongst others.
"I have no doubt that in months and years to come, we'll be talking about the 2026 Chairman's Sale and the unbelievable results that breeders were able to achieve from being active participants in the auction.''
Supplementary entries for the Chairman's Sale will remain open until 5 p.m. local time April 24.
