Lush Lips Looks to Extend Win Streak in Jenny Wiley
Two contenders with winning streaks three races deep headline a competitive 10-horse field in the $650,000 Jenny Wiley Stakes (G1T) being run April 11 at Keeneland. Dixiana Farms' grade 1 winner Lush Lips (GB) is the 5-2 morning line favorite and one of the challengers looking to extend her winning streak to four. The 4-year-old daughter of Irish sire Ten Sovereigns has been ultra-consistent since joining trainer Brendan Walsh's barn in late November 2024. Out of nine races with Walsh, she has only been second three times and won all the rest. Lush Lips comes into the Jenny Wiley off consecutive wins in the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Stakes (G1T) at Keeneland last fall followed by the Mrs. Revere Stakes (G2T) at Churchill Downs and the Honey Fox Stakes (G3T) in February at Gulfstream Park. She will be ridden by Tyler Gaffalione, who has been aboard for six of her last eight starts and will break from post 7. Steve Landers Racing's Destino d'Oro is also riding a three-race win streak. The 4-year-old daughter of Bolt d'Oro does not own a grade 1 win, but she's beaten a grade 1 winner in And One More Time, who she defeated in both the Tropical Park Oaks and the Pegasus World Cup Filly and Mare Turf Invitational Stakes (G2T), both at Gulfstream Park. These two stakes wins are part of her streak that also includes a victory in the Hillsborough Stakes (G2T) at Tampa Bay Downs, where she beat her rival once again. Destino d'Oro will be ridden by Junior Alvarado, who has been in the irons for her most recent two wins, and will break from post 8. The filly has at best a third-place finish at Keeneland, her position by a head in the 2024 Jessamine Stakes (G2T), but she has three wins out of four starts at the Jenny Wiley distance of 1 1/16 miles. Juddmonte Farms' homebred Segesta should be in the mix and offers plenty of competition when the field hits the stretch in the Jenny Wiley. The 5-year-old daughter of Ghostzapper just missed winning the First Lady Stakes (G1T) by a neck at Keeneland last fall and finally earned her grade 1 stripes last out in the Matriarch Stakes (G1T) at Del Mar, where she won going a mile by 2 1/4 lengths. Segesta, who is making her 2026 debut in the Jenny Wiley, has not won at 1 1/16 miles but she has only tried that distance once, in her racing debut in 2024, and has since won two graded stakes at 1 1/8 miles. She is trained by Chad Brown and will be ridden by Flavien Prat, who celebrated with her in the winner's circle following the Matriarch. They will be leaving from the outside post 10. Brown also will be saddling Dynamic Pricing (IRE), a grade 1 winner campaigned by Klaravich Stables. The 5-year-old daughter of Night of Thunder is also making her 2026 debut in this race. Last out, she ran seventh in the First Lady Stakes at Keeneland but earlier in the year won the Just a Game Stakes (G1T) at Saratoga Race Course and the 1 1/16-mile Beaugay Stakes (G3T) at Aqueduct Racetrack. Dynamic Pricing will be ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr. and break from post 5.
