Brazen Persuasion, whose 2-year-old Jackie's Warrior filly sold for $2.3 million earlier this week at auction, has been supplemented to the Fasig-Tipton April Digital Sale. Bidding for the sale opened April 16 and will close April 21.
Brazen Persuasion (Hip 16), a graded stakes-winning daughter of Indian Charlie, is consigned by Housatonic Bloodstock, agent for CJT Stables. She is offered with her Bucchero filly foaled April 16 in New York.
Winner of the 2013 Schuylerville Stakes (G3) at Saratoga Race Course at 2, Brazen Persuasion is already the dam of six winners from six starters, including the stakes-placed Ruggs (Gun Runner ).
Her Jackie's Warrior filly impressed at the Ocala Breeders' Sales Spring 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale, where she blitzed a furlong in :09 3/5 under tack for consignor Hartley/DeRenzo Thoroughbreds before selling to Dermot Farrington for $2.3 million. The filly is the highest-priced juvenile filly to sell at OBS.
"Brazen Persuasion is an exciting addition to the April sale after her current 2-year-old by Jackie's Warrior was a session topper earlier this week, bringing $2,300,000," said Leif Aaron, Fasig-Tipton director of digital sales. "She foaled a healthy filly by Bucchero just yesterday in New York. We're happy to be able to offer her connections a chance to offer the mare and foal without moving them from the farm."
