Filly Rhythm of Crown Scores First for Jack Christopher
Freshman stallion Jack Christopher saw his first winner May 8 when filly Rhythm of Crown captured a maiden race at Hipodromo of the Americas in Mexico City. An unbeaten grade 1 winner at 2 who added two more grade 1 scores at age 3, Jack Christopher stands for $15,000 at Ashford Stud near Versailles, Ky. The son of Munnings—Rushin No Blushin, by Half Ours, entered stud in 2023 and last year 139 of his yearlings sold for an average of $109,511 and a median of $80.000. Campaigned by Cuadra Gio, Rhythm of Crown rolled to a 2 3/4-length victory in that May 8 race, her career debut. She completed the 4 1/2 furlongs in :53 3/5 on a fast track to finish atop the field of six fillies. Rhythm of Crown is trained by Juan Carlos de La Rosa and was guided home by jockey Vicente Flores. Martha Catalina Hernandez purchased Rhythm of Crown for $3,500 at the 2025 Keeneland September Yearling Sale where she was consigned by ELiTE, agent. Rhythm of Crown is the third reported starter for Jack Christopher. Bred in Kentucky by Rhineshire Farm, Rhythm of Crown is out of the placed Distorted Humor mare Rhythm and Grace, who is a daughter of Amber Grace, a half sister to English classic winner Russian Rhythm. Campaigned by Jim Bakke, Gerald Isbister, Coolmore Stud, and Peter Brant, Jack Christopher earned $1,216,400 in six starts, posting a 5-0-1 record. Trained by Chad Brown, Jack Christopher won the Champagne Stakes (G1) in 2021 and then, in 2022, captured the Pat Day Mile (G2), Woody Stephens (G1), and H. Allen Jerkens Memorial (G1) stakes.
