Rockridge Stud Foal Name Contest to Benefit TAA

Rockridge Stud in Hudson, N.Y., announced May 26 a foal naming contest in honor of America's 250th anniversary. Hi Holiday, by Harlan's Holiday, the 250th mare Americanrevolution bred, foaled a filly May 7 at Mill Creek Farm in Stillwater, N.Y. The mare and foal are owned by Mill Creek Farm and Fortune Farm—partners in the stallion. Rockridge Stud is hosting a naming contest for this foal. For every name suggestion submitted via its website, the Americanrevolution Syndicate will donate $1 to Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance. Name submissions will be accepted through July 1st on the website, and Mill Creek and Fortune Farm's favorites will be voted on by a poll on Rockridge's Facebook page July 2-3, with the winner announced July 4th. "Constitution has given us some great names and Americanrevolution is one of his best sons and one of his best names. I love the creativity of the Rockridge team, and I hope the breeders and fans get their thinking caps on for a great cause. Go Americanrevolution," WinStar Farm CEO and racing manager Elliott Walden said. "What a fun way to support Thoroughbred aftercare," said Emily Dresen, funding and events director of Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance. "We are grateful to Rockridge Stud for this opportunity and can't wait to hear the winning name of this filly!" Names can be submitted here
