The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation (TRF) invites racing fans, horse lovers, and supporters of Thoroughbred aftercare to one of Saratoga's must-attend summer gatherings, Cocktails for Aftercare, on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 6-8 p.m. at the Adelphi Hotel in downtown Saratoga Springs.
Held during the height of the Saratoga meet, the evening will bring together members of the racing community for handcrafted LALO tequila cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and an opportunity to support the nation's oldest and largest Thoroughbred aftercare organization.
Guests will enjoy an evening with meaning as they learn how the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation provides dignified lifetime care for more than 350 retired racehorses while creating second chances for people through the TRF Second Chances Program. Through this unique program, retired Thoroughbreds become teachers and healers, helping incarcerated individuals gain valuable skills, confidence, and a pathway toward successful reentry into society.
General Admission tickets are $100 and include one signature cocktail and an assortment of hors d'oeuvres.
For those looking to make the evening even more memorable, a limited number of VIP Tickets are available. VIP guests will receive a complimentary bottle of LALO Tequila signed by Cherie DeVaux, who made history as the first female trainer to win the 2026 Kentucky Derby and went on to capture the 2026 Belmont Stakes, along with jockey Jose Ortiz.
Whether you're a lifelong racing enthusiast or simply looking for a meaningful way to spend a summer evening in Saratoga, Cocktails for Aftercare offers a chance to make a lasting impact while celebrating Thoroughbred aftercare with friends and fellow supporters.
Tickets are expected to sell quickly.
