Rain Forces Cancellation of Saratoga's July 29 Card

The Wednesday, July 29 live racing program at Saratoga Race Course has been canceled due to torrential rain impacting Saratoga Springs, N.Y. and the Capital Region. Saratoga Race Course received more than four inches of rain overnight with two or more inches expected Wednesday. The National Weather Service has placed the Capital Region under a flood watch through 9 p.m. ET. Wednesday's featured $150,000 Curlin Stakes will be brought back Sunday with entries to be taken today. Saratoga will be closed to the public Wednesday. In addition, Aqueduct Racetrack will also be closed for simulcasting Wednesday. Live racing is slated to resume Thursday at Saratoga with a nine-race program. First post is 1:10 p.m.
