The Breeders' Cup, in conjunction with Keeneland, announced Aug. 17 the introduction of future wagering on this year's $7 million Breeders' Cup Classic (G1). The future wager will enable fans to bet on up to 24 wagering interests for the Classic well in advance of the Oct. 31 race date. Odds on horses in the future pools typically provide more value to horse players than those available on race day.
The future wager requires a $2 minimum bet and is a win wager only.
The Breeders' Cup Classic Future Wager will be conducted in two pools. Wagering on the first pool will open Aug. 28 at 12 p.m. ET, and conclude Aug. 30 at 6 p.m. ET. The second Future Wager will start Sept. 25 at 12 p.m. ET, and will end at Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. ET.
Both future pools will consist of up to 23 unique wagering interests and one "All Others" wager for a total of 24 betting interests. "All Others" includes all Thoroughbreds other than the pool's individual horses.
Betting on the Breeders' Cup Classic Future Wagers will be offered at racetracks, advanced deposit wagering sites, casinos, simulcast centers, and off-track betting sites. Additional information will be released ahead of each pool.
