Two-time Breeders' Cup winner and Coolmore's freshman sire Golden Pal was represented by his first stakes winner Aug. 30 when Holy Cow Stable's Seneca Park took the $750,000 Untapable Stakes Aug. 30 at Kentucky Downs.
The 2-year-old filly debuted Aug. 7 as a 4-length winner in frontrunning fashion for trainer Dallas Stewart going 5 1/2 furlongs on the Ellis Park turf. She showed a new dimension Sunday, settling behind horses on the rail beneath Brian Hernandez Jr., tracking fractions of :22.76 and :45.99.
Tipped out in the stretch, the filly rallied and outdueled Luminous Beauty to win by a neck while covering 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:17.20. Pacesetter Severely Overpayin finished third. Seneca Park paid $14.55 on the track's minimum $5 win bet.
Bred in Kentucky by Southern Comfort Farm, Seneca Park is out of the Invasor mare Wendy Wow and was purchased for $70,000 out of the Top Line Sales consignment at the 2026 Ocala Breeders' Sales March Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training.
Golden Pal was the definition of speed in his illustrious career with trainer Wesley Ward. The son of Uncle Mo won seven graded stakes throughout his career, highlighted by wins in the 2020 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (G2T) at Keeneland and the 2021 Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (G1T) at Del Mar.
Golden Pal stood the 2026 season at Ashford Stud near Versailles, Ky., for a $25,000 fee.
