Raybiya Added to Tattersalls Sceptre Session Lineup

Regally bred mare Raybiya (IRE), a half sister to this year's group 1-winning French Two Thousand Guineas (G1) hero Rayif (IRE), has been added to the exciting lineup for this year's Tattersalls December Mares Sale. The daughter of Almanzor (FR), who is out of the placed Holy Roman Emperor mare Rayisa, joins recent Kentucky Turf Cup Invitational Stakes (G2T) winner Tiffany (IRE) and See The Fire (GB) among the early announcements for the popular Sceptre Sessions. The mare will be offered by The Castlebridge Consignment in foal to last year's champion first-season sire Starman (GB). The Tattersalls December Mares Sale takes place from Nov. 30-Dec. 3, with the Sceptre Sessions showcasing a selection of Europe's most sought-after fillies and mares. Rayif, by Sea The Moon, has enjoyed a stellar 3-year-old campaign, winning the Poule d'Essai des Poulains (G1) and Prix Jacques Le Marois (G1) this season, having also finished third in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere (G1) at 2. The pedigree could be enhanced further, with Rayif entered for the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (G1) at Ascot on British Champions Day. Raybiya is also a half sister to Rayevka (IRE), a daughter of Blue Point (IRE) who has twice finished at group 1 level. She was runner-up in this year's King Charles III Stakes (G1) at Royal Ascot and third in the Commonwealth Cup (G1) at the same meeting last year, while she also landed the Prix de Saint-Georges (G3) at Longchamp in May. Rayisa's family has been nurtured by the Aga Khan Studs over several decades and contains numerous stakes winners and classic performers.
