Darby Dan Farm's first-year stallion Blazing Sevens , a classic-placed son of Good Magic and impressive winner of the Champagne Stakes (G1) at 2, will be shuttling to Chile for the Southern Hemisphere breeding season.
In a deal brokered by Sullivan Bloodstock, Blazing Sevens will stand the upcoming Southern Hemisphere season at Haras Santa Olga in Santiago, Chile.
"Darby Dan Farm is pleased to continue our relationship with Haras Santa Olga," Stuart Fitzgibbon, Darby Dan Farm's stallion director, said. "Blazing Sevens' popularity and success with breeders was a testament to his superior conformation, fertility, and libido, and as a son of Good Magic, we fully expect Blazing Sevens to have significant global appeal. We're excited to see his influence extend to the Southern Hemisphere."
After breaking his maiden at Saratoga and finishing third in the Hopeful Stakes (G1), Blazing Sevens was victorious in the 2022 Champagne Stakes in just his third career outing. The precocious colt was classic-placed the following season at 3, beaten just a head by 2024 champion older male and multiple grade 1 winner National Treasure in the 2023 Preakness Stakes (G1). Blazing Sevens retired with earnings of $998,850.
Blazing Sevens is out of the winning Warrior's Reward mare Trophy Girl, a half sister to grade 1 winner King David and stakes winner Bertsgoldenmissile. Bred in Kentucky by Tracy Farmer, Blazing Sevens was a $225,000 graduate of Fasig-Tipton's The Saratoga Sale.
Blazing Sevens stood the 2025 Northern Hemisphere breeding season for a fee of $12,500.
