Tattersalls has unveiled the entries for one of the world's most highly anticipated bloodstock auctions: the prestigious Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale held Oct. 7-9.

This year's catalog contains 537 lots, with unrivaled sire power littered throughout. The progeny of Dubawi, Frankel , Kingman , Lope de Vega , Night of Thunder, No Nay Never, Sea The Stars, and Wootton Bassett account for more than 40% of the offerings.

Among the galaxy of star pedigrees contained within are Kirsten Rausing's Frankel full brother to six-time group 1 winner and 2022 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (G1) heroine Alpinista. This colt's year-older sister sold to Amo Racing for 2.5 million guineas during last year's record-breaking renewal of the blue-chip sale.

Dual champion sire Frankel is also represented by half sisters to the likes of Battaash and Luxembourg, as well as colts out of group 1 winners Con Te Partiro, Glass Slippers, and Precieuse, and fillies out of Sea La Rosa, Villa Marina, and Wonderful Tonight.

Dubawi has 11 entries, including a half sister to St Mark's Basilica and Magna Grecia and a half brother to champion 2-year-old filly Commissioning, as well as colts out of top-class racemares God Given, Lady Bowthorpe, Peaceful, Romantic Proposal, and Snow Lantern. Newsells Park Stud also offers a Dubawi half sister to 2019 Arc winner Waldgeist, as well as a Frankel brother to the filly who topped last year's sale at 4.4 million guineas.

All told, 153 of the mares with progeny entered won in black-type company, while 25 of those struck at the very highest level.

Last year's sale saw the Book 1 market reach unprecedented heights, with turnover of 127,823,000 guineas, an average price of 370,500 guineas and a median of 250,000 guineas. Three of the highest prices in Book 1 history changed hands in 2024, led by the aforementioned Frankel filly. Amo Racing led the way among the buyers with a remarkable 25-lot haul bringing receipts totaling 22.94 million guineas.

The sale has supplied three top-level winners in 2025, most notably Coolmore's Prix du Jockey Club (G1) scorer Camille Pissarro, a 1.25 million-guinea signing by M.V. Magnier in 2023.

Reflecting on the release of the catalog, Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony said: "Every year, the bloodstock world eagerly anticipates the publication of Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, keen to pore over the pedigrees of the finest yearlings Europe has to offer.

"Following last year's extraordinary results, demand for places at Europe's premier yearling sale has been significant, and we are delighted to present a catalog of unparalleled depth and quality, showcasing many of the best yearlings available anywhere in the world.

"Time and again, Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale produces the leading racehorses of each generation on the global stage. This enduring international influence is what draws many of the world's most prominent buyers to Park Paddocks every October.

"This year's elite collection of yearlings is expected to attract a wide cast of international and domestic buyers, drawn not only by the exceptional quality on offer but also by the industry-leading £25,000 October Book 1 Bonus. Now in its 10th year, the bonus is rapidly approaching the remarkable milestone of £10 million paid directly to owners in bonus prize money. Combined with the outstanding quality of the yearlings, it presents a compelling proposition for any potential purchaser."

All lots are eligible for the £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus scheme, which has paid out £9.62 million in prize money to 410 individual winners.
