The Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (CTHS) and all of its provincial divisions announced Sept. 29 they will hold an inaugural Canadian Digital Mixed Sale, Nov. 20-25. Providing a Nationwide sale will expand the marketplace giving sellers access to more potential buyers across the country while offering buyers a broader selection in one convenient sale.
The sale will be powered by a new digital auction platform delivering maximum visibility for sellers and a smooth, user-friendly experience for buyers anywhere.
"Canada is a vast country, and this digital platform now gives us the ability to come together under one roof," said CTHS National and Ontario president David Anderson. "Our breeders and owners need a marketplace that allows them to trade stock efficiently, and this initiative delivers exactly that. I congratulate all of the provinces and their respective boards for uniting for the first time to make this a true National effort."
The closing date for entries is Nov. 12 and entry forms will be available soon at cthsnational.com. The sale will include breeding stock, weanlings, yearlings, stallion shares, and horses of racing age. Bidding opens at 9:00 a.m. ET Nov. 20 and closes at 8:00 p.m. Nov. 25.
