An Into Mischief filly initially listed as reserve not attained on final bid of $290,000 Oct. 8 at the Ocala Breeders' Sales October Yearling Sale has sold post-sale for $275,000 to become the sale topper.
Hip 513, a bay Kentucky-bred filly by the six-time leading general sire out of the multiple stakes-winning, graded stakes-placed War Front mare Compelled, has been reported as sold to Tami Bobo.
Glen Hill Farm consigned and bred the filly out of their homebred mare who hails from the female family of group 1 winner Macoumba.
Charlie's Curlin, a 2-year-old half-brother to the sale-topping filly, sold for $225,000 at this year's OBS March Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training. He was third in his only start at Del Mar in maiden special weight company for owner Les Blake and trainer Peter Miller. Charlie's Curlin was entered in the Oct. 5 Zuma Beach (G3T) at Santa Anita Park but did not run.
Hip 177, a bay filly by Mo Donegal currently named Expectations, brought the highest price through the ring at OBS October when she sold for $240,000 to bloodstock agent Christophe Nouvellet on behalf of Dream With Me Florida. The filly was consigned by Richard Kent's Kaizen Sales.
The October Sale was the final auction on the 2025 calendar for OBS, which will pick back up with live action at its 2026 January Winter Mixed Sale scheduled for Jan. 27. OBSOnline will also be selling horses of racing age and 2-year-olds from Jan. 26-30 with an optional under-tack show Jan. 22.
