She's Quality, who fractured her pelvis Nov. 1 in the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (G1T) at Del Mar, was humanely euthanized overnight after receiving care at San Luis Rey Equine Hospital.
Trainer Jack Davison in statement said that the filly "received the best possible care and appeared to be stable." However, her condition "declined," leading to the decision to euthanize her.
"We are utterly devastated at her passing," he said. "She was a high-class filly and she took us all on an amazing journey. Although this is a very sad ending, I would like to thank all of my staff for taking such great care of her over the past three years. We are a small, tight knit yard and we will miss her terribly."
She's Quality was slow to start in the Turf Sprint and was pulled up at the half-mile pole.
Bred by Rathbarry Stud, She's Quality was owned Aristia Park Bloodstock and Quality Time Racing. She was 4-6-2 from 24 career starts with $343,957 in earnings.
The Breeders' Cup issued a statement, which said, "The loss of She's Quality is deeply felt by all who love and care for equine athletes. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to her connections."
