The New York Racing Association has canceled live racing following Race 2 at Aqueduct Racetrack Nov. 16 due to high winds currently impacting the New York City metropolitan area.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for sustained high winds and gusts in excess of 40 mph.
The $175,000 Pebbles Stakes (G3), which was set to be the next contested race as Race 3, and the $150,000 Forever Together Stakes will be brought back Nov. 23. Entries will be taken Nov. 19.
Aqueduct Racetrack will remain open for simulcasting and wagering is also available via NYRABets.com.
Live racing is slated to resume Nov. 20 at Aqueduct with a nine-race card. First post is 12:10 p.m. Eastern.
