The Indiana Thoroughbred Owners and Breeder Association is hosting its annual stallion season auction on Thoroughlybred.com, with bidding to open Jan. 7 starting at 9 a.m. ET and closing Jan. 11 at 6 p.m.
More than 60 seasons will be on offer from top stallion farms from across the country. Proven stallions as well as freshman sires will be on offer. Any 2027 Indiana-bred progeny from seasons sold in this auction will be eligible for nomination to the 2030 $100,000 ITOBA Stallion Season Auction Stakes, which will offer a colt and filly division. The stallion owner also will be awarded a bonus from each of these two races, with $2,500 awarded to the owner of the winners' sires and $1,000 awarded for the second-place finishers.
The ITOBA is the only organization approved by the Indiana Horse Racing Commission to support owners and breeders in the state of Indiana.
Stallion season donations are still being accepted through Jan. 6. Donors can contact Nicksfarm@yahoo.com or fill out an online donation form.
