The Kentucky Equine Education Project (KEEP) Foundation awarded $46,760 to Kentucky equine nonprofit organizations through its Seattle Slew Grant Program in 2025. With this latest round of funding, the KEEP Foundation has now awarded nearly $100,000 in grants since the grant program's inception in 2023, supporting equine education initiatives across the Commonwealth.
The KEEP Foundation remains dedicated to advancing the future of Kentucky's equine industry by investing in educational programs, projects, and initiatives that strengthen the industry's workforce, promote responsible stewardship, and celebrate the horse's role in the state's economy and culture.
The Seattle Slew Grant Program provides funding to Kentucky based non-profits offering equine-related educational programs, events, and outreach efforts. The program reflects the Foundation's ongoing commitment to promoting education while highlighting the importance of the equine industry to Kentucky's heritage and economic vitality.
The Seattle Slew Grant Program is open to nonprofit organizations, schools, and other groups engaged in equine-related educational programming and projects. 2025 grant recipients include Amplify Horse Racing, BraveHearts Equine Center, Central Kentucky Riding for Hope, Hank the Horse, Kentucky Equine Adoption Center, Kentucky Equine Management Internship, Lexington Children's Museum, Life Adventure Center, Montgomery County 4-H Saddle Club, Second Stride, the Secretariat Center, and YMCA Camp Ernst.
