Rockridge Stud in Hudson, N.Y. is announcing May 26 a foal naming contest in honor of America's 250th anniversary.
Hi Holiday, by Harlan's Holiday, the 250th mare Americanrevolution bred, foaled a filly May 7 at Mill Creek Farm in Stillwater, N.Y. The mare and foal are owned by Mill Creek Farm and Fortune Farm—partners in the stallion.
Rockridge Stud is hosting a naming contest for this foal. For every name suggestion submitted via its website, the Americanrevolution Syndicate will donate $1 to Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance. Name submissions will be accepted through July 1st on the website, and Mill Creek and Fortune Farm's favorites will be voted on by a poll on Rockridge's Facebook page July 2-3, with the winner announced July 4th.

I love the creativity of the Rockridge team, and I hope the breeders and fans get their thinking caps on for a great cause. Go Americanrevolution," WinStar Farm's Elliott Walden said.
