The appetite for quality stakes-winning mares remained strong at the Magic Millions Digital Sale, which concluded June 4 with record results to become the most successful sale in the platform's history.

Strong domestic and international demand helped generate turnover of more than AU$1.65 million (US$1.17 million, AU$1=US$0.71) for the 105-lot catalog with a clearance rate of 74% and an average of AU$21,742 (US$15,437).

Group 1 winner Vibrant Sun topped the sale when purchased by Garryard Equine for AU$465,000 (US$330,150) after attracting 104 bids. Offered unreserved by Shamus Mills Bloodstock, Vibrant Sun won three races during her career, including the 2024 Australasian Oaks (G1) and Alexandra Stakes (G3) at Moonee Valley Racecourse.

Perth stakes winner Toropa was the second-highest seller, knocked down to China Horse Club for AU$360,000. The Jungle Dawn Classic winner of seven races is set to join the club's broodmare band and try her luck with champion sire Extreme Choice this spring.

"The appetite for her was incredible," said Amelia Park Racing and Breeding manager Sharon King. "The level of interest from buyers and inspections throughout the sale was outstanding."

The Geisel Park Stud Unreserved Dispersal also attracted strong support, highlighted by stakes performer Duchess Of Gossip, who sold for AU$145,000 in foal to Playing God, while Rosebank, also in foal to Playing God realized AU$80,000.

The Hesket Thoroughbreds Reduction Sale produced solid results, including a breeding right in Bivouac selling for AU$65,000 and Light Romance, in foal to So You Think, making AU$60,000.

Magic Millions Digital once again demonstrated the strength of the online marketplace, with quality mares and breeding stock continuing to attract fierce competition from buyers across Australia and overseas. The next Magic Millions Digital Sale is scheduled for June 12-17.
