A total of 305 Japanese-bred yearlings have been cataloged for the Hokkaido Selection Sale at Shizunai July 20-21.

The format of the sale has changed this year. Unlike the 2025 format, which featured an exclusive 'Premier Session' on Day 1, the quality standard is now uniform across both the first and second days of the catalog.

The sale features three yearlings by the world's highest-rated horse in 2023, Equinox, whose first crop are yearlings this year. Hip 58 is a colt out of the winning Into Mischief  mare Secondary Market.

Hip 124 is a filly out of the Into Mischief mare Cease and Desist, who is half sister to multiple graded stakes winner Anothertwistafate (Scat Daddy).

Hip 193 is a filly out of Fashion Street (Street Sense ), who is a granddaughter of multiple graded stakes winner Runway Model. The daughter of Petionville won the Alcibiades Stakes (G2) and Golden Rod Stakes (G2) as a juvenile in 2004.

The catalog also includes three yearlings by American stallions. Hip 99 is a colt by 2020 Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Authentic , out of Dona Green, winner of the Clasico Carlos Tomkinson (G2) in Argentina. Hip 178 is colt by first-crop sire Gunite  out of Talented Lady. JS Company purchased the Tapit  mare in foal to Gunite for $150,000 at the 2024 Keeneland November Sale. Hip 194 is a filly by Vekoma  out of Princesa Lake, winner of four graded stakes in Argentina.

Each session begins at 12 p.m. local time.
